On behalf of our credit-worthy tenant partners, we identify sites in target markets and, after assembling and acquiring the land, we provide professional services including engineering, environmental, municipal approvals, site design and development, construction management and leasing.
We believe in extreme selectivity in acquiring development sites and often utilize specific criteria that provide a strategic edge in the acquisition process. Benchmark focuses on both strong retail markets and mature markets that are experiencing a renaissance. Our preference is for properties that serve a broad market segment and therefore enjoy both high traffic counts and a quality tenant base through economic cycles.
After thoroughly analyzing, inspecting and assessing every target property, Benchmark acquires properties for their highest and best economic use at a fair market price consistent with a profitable financial model.

Benchmark's team of professionals oversees all aspects of the site development and construction process to ensure the project is completed on time, on budget. In designing and preparing the site, we pay particular attention to traffic patterns, neighboring businesses and residences, and quality aesthetics. Throughout the construction process, our team works closely with the general contractor and his sub-contractors to ensure a quality job.
